The basket is 6 inches deep in the middle to support the back and torso while the head is a little deeper to keep it stable in case of any unforeseen circumstance occurs. The Moses Basket features a removable hood which attaches easily with Velcro.
This pretty Moses Basket creates a space for Baby anywhere in the house! A safe place for your baby to sleep at home or when visiting friends. Keep Baby close by wherever you are! Overall unit measures 30″L x 17″W x 18″H. Basket is 6″ deep in the middle (8.5″ deep at the head, 6.5″ at the foot). Soft, gingham patterned bumper/liner. Polyester fill pads the bumper for comfort. Liner is removable and can be machine washed and tumbled dry. Includes a vinyl-covered-foam mattress pad (26″x12″x1″)and a white sheet. Basket hood shades your baby, or it can be removed completely. Hood attaches securely with hook-and-loop tape. Basket can be used until baby is approximately 15 lbs. (6.8 kg) or until baby can push up or roll over unassisted. Basket should always be placed on a firm, flat surface. Never place it near the fireplace or open flames. Sturdy handles are woven onto the basket. The handle is actually “one piece” that goes down both sides and under the bottom. Although this basket includes handles, we do not recommend carrying the basket with your baby in it for safety reasons. When Baby outgrows the Moses Basket, use it as a place for storing stuffed animals or linens, or as a bed for dolls or pets.

I bought this basket for our new baby girl. We have been using it for 5 weeks and I love it! I would definitely buy it again. This is a nice item for the price.
Here are the pros and cons of this basket -
Pros:
- Light and easy to carry up and down the stairs.
- It takes up very little room, I set it on a cedar chest next to the bed.
- I didn’t have a problem when I washed the liner and sheet in the machine. Maybe using a delicate/handwash cycle would help.
- The sheets we used in a regular bassinet fit in this just fine.
- The pad is quite thick.
Cons:
- The handles are twisted. I think this was due to the way it was packaged for shipping. It does not affect the usability.
- The ribbon that holds the liner in place has come off several times, including in the wash. It does not appear to be attached with much thread. I just reattached them with more/thicker thread.
- The liner around the head of the basket sags into the basket and gets in my daughter’s face. Adding two ribbons at the top to attach it to the basket would fix this.
I ordered this for a friend’s daughter and her new baby. It is very well made and made in the USA which pleased me greatly. I wasn’t sure just how the hood attached, but that is something the new owner will deal with, and there are instructions with the carrier. The hood will afford the use in a very sunny room. It is supposed to hold up to 15 lbs., which makes the use of the carrier limited for babies, but it could be used for other purposes I am sure. All in all I was pleased with the value, the quality and the appearance of the basket. It is really cute.
This has been a nice bed for our first grandchild. At the price paid it is a very good value. The only reason that this does not get five stars is due to construction quality. While it is not poorly constructed, I would not say that it is built to last for years – it will never be handed down to another generation. Overall, though, we have been very satisfied with it.
Honey Hooded Baby Moses Basket. This works great for carrying my granddaughter around the house, she also prefers to sleep in this little Moses carrier. I do agree with earlier reviews, the ties could be better and there could be more of them to prevent the side pads from handing down. Other than those issues that are easily fixed, it’s a great product for the price.
