Melissa & Doug Large Knob Wooden Farm Puzzle Reviews

A great first puzzle for toddlers

I love this puzzle! It’s beautiful, the pieces fit perfectly, and it is easy for my daughter to figure out. The large knobs make the pieces easy to grasp, and the fact that the picture is painted on the piece and on the board makes it easy to match the puzzle pieces. My daughter plays with it all the time, and it’s one of her favorite puzzles. The pieces are big too, so they’re easy to keep track of, unlike smaller puzzle pieces that get lost or sucked up in the vacuum.

The only thing I found is that it is important to watch your child play with the puzzle until they’re out of the “gnawing” stage. My daughter gnawed off the top picture of the chicken and sheep so that makes me sad since the painting is done by hand, and the pictures are so nice. So now I can only let her play with it supervised, until she stops gnawing

Big puzzle for little fingers

My 11 month old daughter loves to take the pieces out and play with them…she hasn’t figured out how to put them back in yet, but she will. I tell her what the animals are and make the sounds so I’m sure she’ll be doing the same soon enough. Good toy!
