I bought 3 of these for nephews & niece that are turning 3 this summer. My niece opened it up right away and began playing. She loved cutting the sushi apart and using the chopsticks. The black “seaweed” also velcros off of the sushi. The ginger is a piece of pink felt. If the kiddos are famaliar with sushi or you have one of those cool sushi books, I know they will like it.

Oh my goodness, this is the cutest set I’ve ever seen! The details are amazing and so well made! High quality wood pieces! My son loooves cutting up the sushi and picking them up with the chopsticks. We bought a cute sushi plate to go with it and he loves to put everything on the plate and pretend to serve it to us. This set is AWESOME!!!!!

my 15mos loves this set. she loves to stick the pieaces together and go at it w/ thegiant cleaver. i also babysit two girls ages 4 and 5 and they also love this set. it is a must buy for your little girl’s or boy’s kitchen. perfect size for the red retro kitchen by kidkraft.

I bought this for my 18 month old son to start trying some pretend play with him (younger than the recommended age, I know). He LOVES the sound the sushi makes when you “chop” it, although he can’t really chop it himself. He likes to pull the pieces apart and listen the velcro. He plays with the chopsticks. The only part of the set that we had to take away was the “ginger” – he kept putting it in his mouth and sucking on it, which made it soggy and gross, but I’m sure an older child wouldn’t do that.
Very cute, very durable, painted wood sushi set. Great for the sushi lover’s child!
